The commercial historic district in the heart of Columbia has a restored courthouse and a town square, revitalized in recent years, with shops, antique stores and restaurants. Thousands of visitors converge on Columbia each Mule Day, a four-day celebration in April featuring a parade, mule and horse shows, arts and crafts booths, a flea market and lots of food.
